    1930's McCormick Deering 10-20 Tractor, Image # 4151, with hand starting crank. I spent my 15th and 16th summers using this model tracter to pull logs out of the bush and into a field for the trucks to load.     Portrait Photograph of Le Anna, At The Top of The Stairs, Image # 456. Many rural homes used kerosene oil lamps into the late 1950s, or even the 1970s. The oil lamps were not bright enough to fill shadows or distant walls. When company stayed late, children tried to delay bedtime with protests as long as possible.  Back then, all parents were used to this picture, an over-tired child crying at the top of the stairs in weak lantern light. Uttleystrails.
