Firearms, Historic and Modern
Rifles and Pistols, Modern Bolt Action Precision Firearms.
For the Hunters, Firearms enthusiasts, and others, the Uttleystrails.com Firearms page includes Historic rifles and pistols of special interest. As time permits, there will be a description and story about each of these firearms. It will include photographs of the 1873 Springfield .45-70 Government Trapdoor rifle, a rare MBA Gyrojet Pistol, Mark 1 Model B, .51 caliber (13 mm) from the 1960's (Shoots Rockets instead of Bullets), an 1861 Navy Colt .36 cal, Cowboy pistols from the 1800's, Cowboy rifles form the 1800's, Russian Military pistols and rifles, U.S. Military pistols, Civilian 1911 Pistols, a Springfield XD Pistol, and other firearms of special long range interest. Arranging time with the Owners to Photograph these items is difficult. Several special rifles for Modern Day long range precision shooting, known as Prone Style Precision Shooting, are included. Prone Style Precision Rifles are often seen competing at Bench Rest competitions.
Note: In uttleysnaturephotos.com, when we speak of Benchrest or Prone Style Precision Rifles, the rifles have Target Spec. Chambers and Trued Bolt Faces, otherwise there is no Precision. Everything else is a hunting rifle.
